Kayla Wendelboe, LCSW

Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work and Bachelor’s in Sociology from Brigham Young University. I work with adults and teens navigating a wide range of challenges—anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, body image concerns, low self-esteem, suicidal ideation, perfectionism, OCD, grief and loss, relationship issues, life transitions, issues impacting the LGBTQ+ community, and more.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I tailor treatment to each individual. I’m trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and draw from several modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

I’ve had the opportunity to work in in a variety of settings in Utah County and New York. City—ranging from hospitals and public mental health clinics to residential and outpatient eating disorder programs.

I respect the courage it takes to start therapy. I love this work and consider it a privilege to walk alongside people in their healing. I look forward to getting to work with you!
